In this intergenerational DIY workshop, migrant daughters and their mothers will create a personal story map together: a creative, self-designed booklet for folding, collecting, and sharing stories. Using drawings, short texts, collages, and objects they bring with them, they will develop their own unique ways of preserving their memories.
The workshop fosters exchange between women of different generations and invites them to playfully explore migration stories.
The workshop is designed for migrant women who wish to participate as a mother-daughter pair. It is not intended for children. No prior experience is necessary. The story map workshops are part of the BRIGHT project, funded by BAMF (Federal Office for Migration and Refugees), run by much cooler than yours gUG.
The workshop will be led by cultural worker Dami Choi. Dami Choi is a Korean curator and cultural worker. She works with communities whose stories are often overlooked, creating spaces for personal and shared memories and making diverse perspectives visible.
