The Celtic harp appears here in an unusual guise – in dialogue with concert grand piano, upright piano, and keyboards.

The compositions by Lutz Gerlach and Thomas Loefke revel in the timbres of familiar Celtic themes, venture into improvisation, jazz, folk, and classical music, yet always return to a dreamy, atmospheric mood. Driven by a spirit of musical discovery, they create a sonic journey that transports the audience to other realms and allows them to forget the everyday world.

Thomas Loefke, who shares a love of the sea with Lutz Gerlach, studied in Dublin and Berlin. He honed his artistic skills with some of Ireland's most renowned harpists, including Máire Ní Cháthasaigh, Helen Davies, and Áine Ní Dhúill.

The classically trained pianist Ulrike Mai joins the duo as a distinguished guest musician. With her, the lush soundscapes expand to a trio and gain additional depth and expressiveness.
