Market Saturée spans semi-consciously around the undefinitive realms of physical and emotional grind and hustle. Formed in 2024 in Basel, Switzerland by Eren, Leo-Pol and Mehmet, the trio finds the balance between hearing-health loudness levels and melancholy of the mosh. Random growls under a wall of harsh and noisy grind beats which challenge the steps make the nonsense a whole with distorted guitars, horse-running bass drums, fast beats and brutal bass lines.

Market Saturée’s shifting personas of appearances, changing site and mood specifically, carry the performers to play their characters of the day. The original music they compose and shape collectively unties from complex structures to expressive forms of concrete brutality and extreme music. With the intimacy of playing in survival mode, Market Saturée blends grindcore, mathcore, prog, metalcore, hardcore punk, noise and improvised music, sculpted with their language and expression to share the confused feelings of their zeitgeist.
With the identity crisis from their scenes in no-homelands of Basel, Istanbul and Nancy, Market Saturée brings out an image of a new dynamism within changing genre definitions, stage performances, music promotion, publishing, performing, persona building, truth, escape and vulnerability.

Eren O'Neil Simsek is a musician and improviser operating in the porous territories between free improvisation, contemporary jazz and experimental performance practices. Rooted in the plural sonic cultures of Istanbul, Simsek’s work explores tensions and resonances between memory, form and spontaneous expression, often through guitar-centered interventions. His creative process investigates how sound can act as both narrative and anti-narrative, proposing improvisation as a space for political, historical and personal inscription. Interested in ghost forms of jazz, childhood auditory memory and detuned architectures of tonality, his performances move between affective immediacy and fragmented abstraction.

Léo-Pol Jeannon is a double bassist, electric bassist and composer focused on improvised and experimental music, both instrumentally and electronically. Born in Bar-le-Duc, France in 1998, he studied jazz double bass in Nancy, where he earned his Regional Conservatory Diploma (DEM). He became involved in jazz, contemporary, experimental and DIY scenes before joining the Basel Jazz Campus in 2023, studying with Larry Grenadier. He currently performs with The Dose Makes The Poison, Görktürk Auray, the Matteo Bussy Quartet, the quintet Zozodash and Market Saturée.

Mehmet Ali Simayli, from Istanbul, Türkiye, works in the intersection of composition, improvisation, research and drumming. His practice blends electro-acoustic, multimedia and contemporary approaches, focusing on musical and non-musical concepts. He explores acoustic and electronic apparatuses to open loopholes between detail and a traditionless view of the current era. Simayli has lived in Basel, Switzerland since 2021.
