Roots & Blues
Black Patti – that's Peter Crow C. and Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Kraemer. For over ten years, this seasoned blues and roots duo has been performing together on international stages and at festivals.
With their two-part harmonies, handcrafted and uncompromising sound, they tell stories straight from life in their award-winning songs. Their sound draws from the rural American styles of the pre-war era, blending Delta blues, ragtime, and spirituals into a roots blend that is as delicate as it is deeply moving. With a diverse repertoire, these two musicians from southern Germany span the spectrum from earthy, dark grooves to buoyant lightness.
Even Robert Crumb, icon of underground comics and renowned pre-war blues expert, was impressed – he designed the cover artwork for their album "Satan's Funeral."
