Berlin Wedding

Under the title ‘Mendelssohn – Masterpieces of Romanticism’, a multifaceted concert programme dedicated to Romantic music will be performed on Sunday, 29 March 2026, at 5 p.m. in the Kammermusiksalon Prinzenallee at Prinzenallee 58 in 13359 Berlin.

In the atmospheric ambience of the salon in Berlin-Wedding, the musicians will devote themselves to the chamber music works of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and present two of his most important works: Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49, and Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66.

The programme is complemented by selected songs by the composer, which impressively showcase his lyrical expressiveness and melodic finesse.

The two piano trios are among the highlights of Romantic chamber music. With passionate drama, brilliant virtuosity and heartfelt cantabile, they combine musical depth with immediate emotionality. Mendelssohn's unmistakable signature – characterised by clarity, elegance and poetic warmth – makes these works fixtures in the international concert repertoire to this day.

  • The concert lasts approximately 90 minutes, including an interval.
  • Admission is free, but donations to support the musical work are gratefully received.

Performers:
Teona Frelon – violin
Charles Frelon – cello
