The topic of ‘elements’ is open to different explorations, representations and interpretations. These range from the theories of the pre-Socratics on the development of Eastern and Western ideas about the ‘primordial substances’ that make up the world, to the facts provided by contemporary natural sciences.

According to common understanding, ‘soul mates’ are people who share a deep, seemingly natural similarity of character, which can manifest itself in affection, love, spirituality and communication. Who are these people? What elements are necessary for this form of connection?
The exhibition shows works that provide insight into how the exhibiting artists experience the interplay of the elements and what perspectives they take on them.
The laboratories are curated by the members of the GEDOK Berlin gallery themselves. They cordially invite you to be inspired by the exhibits.
