The Schöneberg Symphony Orchestra (SOS) was founded in 1993 by former students and quickly became one of Berlin's most established amateur orchestras.
Today, the ensemble can look back on numerous successful concerts. Musicians from a wide variety of professional backgrounds come together here, united by their shared passion for classical music. The orchestra regularly collaborates with dedicated and renowned conductors, maintaining a high artistic standard. The highlight of each rehearsal period is a performance in the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie.
The repertoire is intentionally diverse, ranging from major symphonies and solo concertos of the Classical and Romantic periods to works by lesser-known and rarely performed composers.
