It's about beauty in tragedy. Short stories, minor disasters, big emotions... Mone Jendreyko, Theresa Rath, Michael Wenzel, and pianist Serge Manzelej will be there
Mone Jendreyko, born in 1985 and raised in Berlin, dictated to adults what they should write until she could write herself. She has been writing ever since. She studied literature, languages, and psychology, lived in Czechia, the USA, and Canada, and has spent most of her professional life working in psychiatry, but also as a homework supervisor, waitress, in a travel agency, and in a call center. Her poems and short stories have appeared in various anthologies.
In her novel “Liberdade” (Freedom), Theresa Rath deals with issues surrounding feminism, self-discovery, substance abuse, early childhood trauma, and violence in relationships. She is a member of the poetry reading stage “Dichtungsring,” with which she performs live every two months on the television station “Alex Berlin.” Theresa Rath has just returned to Berlin after a long stay in India.
Michael Wenzel is studying humanities, which in itself is very courageous in 2026, and he also has close ties to Periplaneta as a former intern and editor.
Serge Manzelej is actually an accountant. He has a magical connection to jazz and classical music and a surprisingly good relationship with our somewhat aging Klavinova.
The Periplaneta TresenLesen: People read and talk. And drink. It's about literature, art, and the big questions. Entertaining, sometimes controversial, and unpredictable in its dynamics.
