Ulrike Eschenburg, violin & Petra Patzer, guitar
The violin/guitar combination, with its two very different instruments, offers a wealth of sonic possibilities. The violin boasts an incredible number of compositions full of virtuosity and beautiful melodies. The guitar, among other things, brings the entire spectrum of South and Latin American rhythms.
The concert program will be correspondingly diverse: compositions by Bartók, Piazzolla, and DeMillac are just three examples.
Ulrike Eschenburg studied violin at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and secured a position as first violinist with the Staatskapelle Berlin at her first audition. In addition, Ulrike Eschenburg is dedicated to chamber music in various ensembles. She founded the duo APRIME in 2016 together with guitarist Petra Patzer.
Petra Patzer also studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music. Since then, the concert guitarist has performed in various chamber music ensembles and guitar duos.
Both musicians have participated in many excellent CD recordings.
