The exhibition "a breeze an echo a ray a stone" unites artistic positions that understand photography not as mere representation, but as a complex, multifaceted process.

Photographic images appear here as the result of technical, material, and temporal processes. The works of Bokeum Lee, Timo Matthies, Vivian Hötter, and Juri Löchte liberate photographic practices from their familiar contexts and reveal their hidden preconditions, attributions, and transformations.

The focus is on the materiality of photographic images, their analog and digital transformations, and their interplay with landscape and time. Digital images are transferred onto textiles, technical image data collection is artistically reflected upon, and mountain landscapes are situated between image and object.

The exhibition conceives of photography as an open field in which images, materials, and concepts of time converge in ever-new constellations.
