Alphorn and swing music around Berlin

The orchestra's origins date back to 1902, when a small ensemble was assembled for the inauguration of Berlin's first subway line, U1. The performance impressed the transport authority so much that it became a company orchestra.

Today, the BVG Orchestra consists of around 40 musicians who, as a symphonic wind orchestra, can truly unleash a musical roar. Their impressive and diverse repertoire ranges from the Baroque era to the present day, encompassing symphonic works, operetta classics, and light swing and film music – all performed with passion and great entertainment value.
