Love Lab: Artistic research on love, body and sexuality

In the "Love Lab," participants transform the theater stage into a space of love, celebrating their bodies, boldly exploring questions about sexuality, and creating new love songs.

In two labs, artists with and without disabilities explore the themes of body, love, and sexuality for a young audience.

In the first lab, "A New Play About Love" (ages 6+), author Rachel Rosen is writing a new play for the Parkaue. Performance musicians Louis Edler and Anton Bermann are composing love songs to accompany it, developing a heartfelt musical theater piece.

Love is more than a red heart or a red rose. It's a feeling that connects us—and for that, they need a new story and catchy tunes!

In both labs, the artists explore the impact of societal beauty standards, the complexities of relationships, and the feelings of closeness and intimacy. They also delve into the exciting experience of loving someone, expressing one's gender identity, and defining boundaries. The artists are interested in the desires, fears and insecurities of young people regarding love and sexuality.
