Jazz service with BRIGITTA FLICK & FRANZ BAUER

Saxophonist Brigitta Flick and vibraphonist Franz Bauer have known each other for many years through various jazz projects within Berlin's vibrant jazz and improvisation scene, which they have actively shaped. Over the years, they have collaborated in diverse formations, from duos to larger jazz ensembles, and enjoy their shared stylistic flexibility, openness, and improvisational directness. With great familiarity, they explore their compositions and the occasional jazz standard.

Franz Bauer, coming from a background in drums and classical percussion, has increasingly found his primary means of expression in the vibraphone and marimba. Saxophonist Brigitta Flick's musical roots lie in her passion for old chorales from Northern and Central Europe, and as an improviser and composer, she moves within the diverse realms of jazz and improvisation.
