Smooth R&B sounds and a distinctive baritone voice – with these, Giveon quickly secured a firm place in the international music scene.
The singer-songwriter first gained widespread attention through his feature on Drake's "Chicago Freestyle." With songs like "Heartbreak Anniversary" and "For Tonight," he established himself as one of the most celebrated R&B acts of his generation.
Giveon's decisive breakthrough came in 2020. After the release of his first commercial single, "Like I Want You," in 2019 and support slots for Snoh Aalegra, his career took off rapidly. His debut EP, "Take Time," which was later nominated for a Grammy, was released in early 2020. Shortly thereafter, his feature on Drake's hit song finally brought him international recognition.
Later that same year, the second EP “When It’s All Said and Done” followed, before both releases were combined in 2021 under the title “When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time” – another milestone in Giveon’s young but already impressive career.
