Under the direction of Berlin-based artist and producer Kat Frankie, B O D I E S unfolds an extraordinary musical power. Completely without instruments, their sound ranges from delicate and fragile to stormy and intense. An emotional depth that only eight voices in perfect harmony can create together.
Freedom through a cappella: Music without limits
What might seem like a limitation at first glance represents creative freedom for Kat Frankie. "With harmony, voice, and performance, there is an infinite amount to discover," she explains. After years of intensive composition work, she is returning more to songwriting, telling stories, and placing lyrics back at the forefront.
A Show About Community and Collective Power
The production of B O D I E S is constantly evolving: choreography, movement, rhythmic stomping, and visual design are continuously developing. At its core, however, remains the shared presence of eight women on stage – and the narrative of community, solidarity, and collective striving.
