Viva la Vida - Long live life

On Saturday, 29 August 2026, the open-air arena of the Gardens of the World will once again be filled with the sound of ‘Viva la musica’. The Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Austrian conductor Christoph Koncz, will present ‘Viva la Vida’.

Under the motto ‘Viva la Vida – Long live life’, the traditional classical open-air concert will feature Spanish and Latin American sounds and a dazzling fireworks display as the grand finale.

Music has always been a reflection of joie de vivre:
It makes us dance, dream and sometimes even laugh. On this evening, we want to celebrate life together – with music that is full of energy, love and exuberant vitality.
