The Cold War shaped the years from 1945 to 1990 – a time when the world was under the shadow of the nuclear threat, yet people still played games – even with the Cold War itself.
The exhibition "ColdWarGames – It's All Just a Game" explores games from and about the Cold War. Visitors can discover the fascinating world of board games from the 1960s and 1970s, learn why a strategy game was banned from youth programs, explore a GDR computer club, and play on the only GDR arcade machine.
Current games on the topic are also part of the exhibition – and at the end, the question remains: Is everything really just a game?
