Special guided tour to mark the anniversary of “20 Years of Einstein Lecture Dahlem” (in German only)
Special tour of Albert Einstein, who came to Berlin in 1914 and initially lived in Dahlem. During this period, Berlin developed into a stronghold of modern physics. The Kaiser Wilhelm Society (KWG), which established its first institutes in Dahlem starting in 1912, played a key role in this development.
The tour follows in the footsteps of Albert Einstein on the Dahlem Campus, which was founded by the Kaiser Wilhelm Society in 1912 and soon attracted outstanding researchers. In 1913, Max Planck and other luminaries of the Berlin scientific scene succeeded in bringing Einstein to Berlin, where he lived until his emigration in 1933. It was here that he developed his general theory of relativity. Einstein also left his mark in Dahlem and inspired research - to this day.
