Festive a cappella sounds in the cathedral with the Berlin Radio Choir

The Berlin Radio Choir's Christmas concert promises to be, as every year, an absolute highlight of the holidays.

This year's highlight is the Mass for Double Choir by the Swiss composer Frank Martin from 1922/1926. And although the piece spent the next 40 years in a drawer of his desk, it has since become one of the best-known and most popular sacred a cappella choral works.

Featuring:

  • Berlin Radio Choir
  • Justus Barleben, Conductor

PROGRAM (subject to change):

  • Pierre Villette (1926-1998): "Inviolata" Op. 66 for two a cappella choirs
  • Frank Martin (1890-1974): Mass for a cappella double choir
  • Pierre Villette: "O magnum mysterium" Op. 53 Motet for a cappella choir

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
