Where does Berlin show what it can do together? At Berlin Democracy Day! Every year around International Democracy Day on 15 September, Berlin Democracy Day highlights the diverse commitment to participation and cohesion in our city.

Throughout September, activities and events focusing on democratic values and community spirit will take place in all Berlin districts, including neighbourhood initiatives, pop-up exhibitions, neighbourhood festivals and workshops.
Everywhere in Berlin, people will be creating, listening and asking questions.
The centrepiece is the big participatory festival on 14 September (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in front of the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek: Over 50 Berlin initiatives, associations, NGOs, schools and companies invite you to creative activities and open workshops. You can print jute bags, design memes, solve democracy quizzes, try out VR glasses or record your own podcast – there are exciting hands-on activities for all age groups.
