An exhibition by the Africa Media Center e.V.
The term migration refers to the relocation of one's center of life to a new region or country. There are many reasons and circumstances that lead to such a move, and not everyone decides to leave their home voluntarily.
Some are forced to leave, some want to get away from something, but some are also looking for something that they cannot or can only difficultly obtain in their place of origin. However, they all have one thing in common: migration is rarely easy—and, whether we like it or not, whether we are aware of it or not, it affects us all.
Every decision made by our politicians, our companies, and even us in our daily lives has an impact around the world. Join us on a journey and explore the connections between ecological and economic changes, the global economy and trade, resource consumption, consumption, social (in)justice, and migration movements.
