A staged reading with Felix von Manteuffel
The English author Jane Gardam died on April 28 of this year at the age of 87. She published her first book at just 43 years old. She became one of the great and influential voices in British literature. She was only discovered and celebrated in Germany later in her career, thanks in part to her congenial translator Isabel Bogdan.
