Nina van Tongeren | Deutschsprachige Erstaufführung
They can all be seen in the photo next to Saffa's bed: Saffa herself, her sister Nim, mom and the dog. What a beautiful family. But now the picture is broken. It fell down when Mama banged the door too hard. And everything else is broken too.
Because either mom wants to fly to Mallorca, even though it's not a vacation, and buy a gerbil that she can't look after. Or she's sitting on the roof, singing and refusing to come down. Like right now. Nim has had enough. She wants to go to the youth welfare office and hopes for a foster father with a big house where the bread rolls are never moldy. Saffa, on the other hand, does everything she can to hide the fact that she is the one at home who looks after the food, gerbil and everything else. She wants to keep her family together at all costs.
In this gripping intimate drama, the audience follows the two sisters as they fight for each other and their mother in their different ways.
