
Final exhibition of the Ostkreuz School of Photography
The Ostkreuz School of Photography is celebrating a special anniversary: the TWENTIETH COHORT is graduating – and invites you to a major exhibition of their work at the Cank exhibition space in Neukölln.
Twenty-five final projects showcase the entire spectrum of documentary, artistic and photojournalistic approaches – personal, political, poetic.
What connects the photographers is a clear view of the present.
Their works move between self-questioning and world observation, between myth and reality. They tell of images of masculinity in Eastern Europe, of transgenerational traumas, dream worlds and black perspectives in the GDR – and of the potato. They document, question, research, experiment. The themes range from north-eastern Syria to the Caribbean, from Berlin living rooms to post-socialist archives.

Curated by the classes under the direction of Irina Ruppert, Göran Gnaudschun and Ludwig Rauch, the exhibition is accompanied by a diverse supporting programme: guided tours, discussions, readings and portfolio reviews offer space for exchange and encounter.
