With Haus Marlene Poelzig, Berlin: Demolition and Rebirth, the Haus Marlene Poelzig initiative presents an impressive publication that gives new expression to the memory of a unique building and its architect.

In a carefully curated walk through the now-demolished building, spaces become questions – about architectural history, the treatment of architectural heritage, and feminist perspectives in the construction industry.

The book brings the building to life through texts and images and simultaneously opens up spaces for thought for current discourses: on female authorship in architectural collectives and partnerships, on care work, equal rights, feminist approaches, protest movements, and the preservation of building fabric. Photo series and visual essays bring Marlene Poelzig's creative power to life.
