Backstagetourism
By canoe through Berlin
The BerlinPay offer
During the BerlinPay campaign, you can hire a boat for free for up to two hours from Backstagetourism; life jackets, paddles and tour tips are included. You’ll also have a bucket and a grabber on board, so you can help leave the River Spree a bit cleaner during your tour. Pop in for a quick break and enjoy a free soft drink in the beer garden at the Eierhäuschen by Kopf & Gaumen. Simply show your gear here.
At the end of your tour, you can weigh your haul – and see how you measure up against other participants: who has collected the most rubbish and will make it into the BerlinPay Hall of Fame?
Book by email: service@backstagetourism.com or by phone: 030 53215742
On-the-spot bookings are not possible. Please note the event dates.

About Backstagetourism
Experience Berlin up close, away from the busy streets. Located in the south-east of the city, Backstagetourism offers the ideal starting point for discovery tours into the countryside or the city centre. If you opt for the city centre, you’ll paddle along the Spree towards the Oberbaum Bridge and the TV Tower, between the trendy districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. If you opt for the tour into the countryside, you’ll head in the opposite direction straight to Köpenick – perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours.
You can also book guided tours of varying lengths. Whatever you choose, you’ll always be safe thanks to life jackets, water maps and more. “Walking on Water” heads into the city centre along the former “Spreepark” amusement park and the Stralau peninsula to Molecule Man. “Beat and Boat” is an evening boat tour that takes you past trendy pubs to Neukölln.
Whether you set sail on your own or with a guided tour is entirely up to you.
