Mellowpark recreational sport complex

Mellowpark in the Wuhlheide is Berlin's recreational sport institution.

Founded in 2001 by the "all eins" association, the old Mellowpark site closed at the end of 2008. The endless search for a new site that satisfied the high requirements finally met with success in 2011. Since 2012, the Mellowpark lantern, which has trainers hanging from it, has decorated the urban playground for recreational athletes in the Wuhlheide area in Köpenick.

New basketball court

In October 2012, the new basketball court was inaugurated by none other than Dirk Nowitzki, a famous German basketball player. Since then, Mellowpark, which measures an incredible 60,000 m², has been a venue for slam dunkers as well as skaters and BMX riders. Entry to this playground that reflects the spirit of the age costs €2 per person and is worth every cent.
