Kinderbauernhof Pinke-Panke (Children’s Farm)

Country life in the big city

Sit around an open fire, cook and bake bread on a stick. Make jewellery from soapstone and repair your bike in the workshop. Or feed the more than 70 animals together with the farm staff. The PinkePanke offers children, young people and adults a piece of space close to nature in the middle of the big city Berlin. Here they can stay overnight in the straw or in self-built huts, they can play and run around, stroke animals or listen to a storyteller.

The farm is a place of adventure and play, for encounters and common projects. For this purpose ecological principles are at the forefront above all. By helping in the daily work on the farm, children and young people can experience the farm adventure up close and in doing so observe nature and get to know it in a really special way. When the farm was established in 1991 there were a few temporary contractors’ sheds, which have since been replaced by three half timbered buildings constructed using traditional techniques. The next new building in planning is a large playhouse with a kitchen, games and arts and crafts rooms as well as bathroom facilities.
