As we all know, fairy tales can sometimes be quite cruel, so that they can sometimes be quite frightening.

But sometimes being frightened can also be a little bit fun, at least in fairy tales. And perhaps the big bad wolf from the Globe Theatre is only a little bit cruel because he is so hungry.

As a gourmet, he has to come up with something if he wants to eat something better than swept-up leftovers. You can actually understand this wolf and sometimes even like him a little when he skilfully and imaginatively achieves his goals in his own way. But when he finally devours the little goats, everything is just like in the Brothers Grimm fairy tale: the goats come out of the wolf's belly alive and the villain falls into the well.

  • Stage adaptation, set design and direction: Jost Braun (Master of Fine Arts)

"It's fun to watch Ms Braun. With a lot of love, wit and fun, she knows how to transport children and adults into the world of fairy tales. A puppet theatre that emerges from a suitcase before the eyes of the audience and enchants young and old alike. Anett Dombrowski, 27 September 2022"
