World Premiere · Relaxed Performance
A question mark is searching for answers when it comes to love. On its quest, it encounters a cloud floating around in space, head over heels in love; a hyperactive hormone; a strawberry that loves candy; and frustration. They get to know each other, grow closer, bend over backward to please one another, get angry at themselves, or melt away at the sight of the other. After all, how does love work? Who can still make sense of it all when emotions run wild?
“Chaos of Emotions” is Rachel Rosen’s second play for the Parkaue, following “The Game.” With plenty of wit and passion, it tells a story of self-love, the courage to ask questions, and the curiosity to discover what you truly love.
And the heart-wrenching songs by Louis Edler—written specifically for the play—are guaranteed to be earworms.
The play “Chaos of Emotions” and its accompanying lyrics and compositions were created during the 25/26 season as part of the “Love Lab” project, in which artists with and without disabilities collaborated on the themes of the body, love, and sexuality for a young audience.
“Love Lab” was funded as part of the “Zero—Climate-Neutral Art and Culture Projects” program of the German Federal Cultural Foundation. Funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
