What does resistance actually mean? And how do people in history show that they are resisting? In this vacation course at Museum Nikolaikirche, you will get to know Yaa Asantewaa, a courageous leader from the former Ashanti Empire in West Africa.
She fought back when soldiers from Europe came and wanted to determine how the people in her homeland should live. In the exhibition "Decolonials - what remains?" at the Museum Nikolaikirche, we talk about which stories are often not told in historiography and which you may be missing.
Afterwards, you will immerse yourself in the world of comics: How can you show strong messages with pictures and short texts? You will design your own cloth bag with templates and your own personal heroine or hero. Can a cloth bag show resistance? Maybe! In any case, you can take your story outside and tell it to others.
