  • 11:00 a.m.: Open-air service in front of the monastery church with monastery head Pastor Anne Hanhörster and monastery residents.
  • 12:00 p.m.: The stands are open, music groups on several stages, dancing, food and drink, many offers for children, events everywhere on the grounds of the Evangelisches Johannesstift, family-friendly prices
  • 2:00 p.m.: traditional Thanksgiving parade, in which some politicians will take part.
  • 3:00 p.m.: ceremonial handover of the harvest crown. On the stage in front of the collegiate church there will be greetings from the board and guests of honor as well as harvest sayings from the children and music.
  • 6:00 p.m.: Contemplative conclusion in the collegiate church
  • 7:00 p.m.: Closing in candlelight on the church forecourt with tower brass.
The highlight is the up to 500 meter long parade across the grounds. Employees and residents contribute up to 50 different contributions. They show their professional field or place of learning in creative ways through dance, music and other performances.

Afterwards, the participants hand over the harvest crown to the head of the monastery. The parade and handover of the harvest crown have a long tradition at Johannesstift.
