Fireworks fascinate in their ambivalence and contradiction. The spectacle brings people together, and its explosion is anticipated with joy and fear.
Némo Flouret's new work "Derniers Feux" draws on images and sensations anchored in the collective memory and focuses on the state of suspension before the explosion.
In this gray area, a choreography of expectation and displacement emerges, in which dancers and musicians, as traveling artists, continually change the stage landscape and seek to postpone the conclusion of the performance, the inevitable final blaze.
