1st event of the ‘Prevention’ debate forum
Although we believe we will live forever, we know that our bodies are finite and that the engine can stutter and give up the ghost.
But how long we live and in what quality depends largely on us.
As with car maintenance, we could do something about it and go for a regular check-up to stay in the picture.
However, there is a huge discrepancy between our intentions and reality. Should it be up to each and every one of us to decide for ourselves whether to take preventive health care or do we need government programmes? Ultimately, it would be good for everyone and save a lot of money.
