Since the 2024/25 season, Christian Thielemann has been General Music Director of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and thus Artistic Director of the Staatskapelle Berlin. The Berlin native succeeds Daniel Barenboim and brings his many years of experience conducting renowned orchestras to the venerable Staatskapelle.
