40 years of LINE 1
After its premiere on 30 April 1986 at the GRIPS Theatre in Berlin, none of those involved could have imagined the worldwide success that LINE 1 would enjoy – nor that 40 years later, the play would still regularly receive standing ovations from its audience!

Various anniversaries have been celebrated since then, most recently the new production by Tim Egloff in March 2023 and the 2,000th performance in December 2023.
For this year's anniversary, we are putting the fans in the spotlight:
There is a large contingent of fan tickets available for the anniversary evening, where you can even sing along loudly.

Finally, you can sing along loudly with all the fans to the songs from LINIE 1!
Musical director Matthias Witting invites you to practise ten songs from LINIE 1 and sing them together. He will be at the piano to ensure that the evening does not derail musically. For all Berliners from Stempelhof to Stöhneberg, for all underground passengers, BVG users – simply for everyone who finally wants to sing along without restraint! And for all ‘Line 1’ fans, of course.
On this evening, we will be raffling off fan tickets for the anniversary performance on 30 April among the participants.
