Concrete meets grass, city meets silence, past and present intersect in the present. ‘From Silver to Silver’ is a site-specific dance performance at Gleisdreieck: developed and choreographed by Emma Lusena Ash and her collective DISTANT CASUALS, with musical accompaniment by Benjamin Bacon.

DISTANT CASUALS
The performance takes place outdoors, in natural light that slowly fades into twilight. The focus is on the theme of transformation: as a constant process, as the movement of life itself.
The dancers embody states of transition: from stillness to eruption, from solitude to togetherness. Their movements are intuitive, fluid, filled with the sounds of the city, voices, music and noises that overlap and interweave. ‘From Silver to Silver’ is both dance and philosophical gesture: an invitation to imagine together how we live – and change.
