Special opening and guided tour
The "Chrystal and Shell Grotto" is a garden staffage in the New Garden. Large mirrors, various types of stone, colored glass and shells once adorned the three cabinets of the grotto. The remains of these decorations still give an idea of its former beauty.

Muschelgrotte im Neuen Garten
The Förderkreis Muschelgrotte im Neuen Garten Potsdam e.V., founded in 2003, has set itself the task of making the Muschelgrotte known to the public and raising funds for the preservation and maintenance of the building.
The historic marble floor of the middle cabinet was restored by restorer Lutz Schummel, SPSG, by May 2025 and can now be admired during guided tours.
