Guided tour in Italian
A sensational archaeological find: The discovery of numerous bronze statues in San Casciano dei Bagni in southern Tuscany caused a sensation in 2022. The figures were lying in the mud of a thermal pool, the center of a centuries-old Etruscan-Roman sanctuary for healing gods.
The bronze artifacts are being exhibited in Berlin for the first time outside of Italy. The finds illustrate how illness, and especially the hope of recovery, played a crucial role then and now.
Discover the finds and the fascinating history of the San Casciano bronzes on this guided tour.
