Talk & Walk with Carmen Mariscal
The work of Mexican artist, researcher and stage designer Carmen Mariscal will be presented for the first time in Berlin on July 3 at 18.00 at the Verein zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz on Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 45.
To mark the exhibition, a public talk by Carmen Mariscal will be held at the Embassy of Mexico on July 2nd, followed by a walk to the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.
Mariscal's work explores the memories embedded in spaces, from the human body to clothing, architecture and the city itself. Her current project investigates the multiple histories of the site now occupied by the Embassy of Mexico in Berlin. Through photography, film and installation, Mariscal explores the layered histories of the current embassy site, uncovering the traces of memory, transformation and diplomacy throughout the 20th century.
We invite you to take part in this interesting conversation and, afterwards, to join us in this unique walk to understand more about Berlin’s geography and architecture.
