This event brings participants together to collaboratively generate questions – not necessarily answers – about how we can recognise the support we need. Especially in times of crisis, when familiar systems fall away, this awareness becomes crucial. For disabled and chronically ill artists, it's particularly important to navigate such times with clarity.

The participants approach the topic in a playful and experimental way – especially the idea of how important questions themselves are, and how often they are taken for granted.

The session begins with impulses and questions from a previous international roundtable discussion:

The Role of Disabled Artists in the Polycrisis, which took place at the Medical Anthropology Europe Conference in Vienna and was co-convened by Justus Harris. These contributions connect the conversation to current experiences and research by disabled artists around the world.

After that, a moderated discussion invites participants to formulate their own questions around support and access.

The process values diverse experiences – especially from those who, during the pandemic and other crises, are in many cases much less able to engage with physically or movement-based art.
