The Stasi also influenced the lives of punks in very different ways. They experienced surveillance and repression, but could also be used as unofficial collaborators.

The tour of the exhibition "Insight into the Secrets" not only shows the working practices and methods of the Stasi, but also examples of how the secret police influenced the punk scene in the GDR and its members. Following the tour, you can visit the Stasi Records Archive's sample file collection and apply for access to the files on site.
