Musical puppet show with Lia Andes and Uwe Matschke
In her new program, Lia Andes and her hand puppet Paula guide the audience through various musical genres—from swing and soul to classical opera and musicals.
In an entertaining mix of music, sketches, and improvisation, a lively dialogue with the audience emerges. Uwe Matschke accompanies on the piano and also plays Paula with great enthusiasm.
A musically diverse, emotional, and humorous stage program for young and old alike.
About Lia Andes:
The versatile artist grew up in London and has lived in Berlin since the age of 18. She studied classical and jazz singing, won the Jazz and Blues Award Berlin, and has performed as a singer in musicals such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame as well as in classical concert formats.
With “PAULiA,” she combines her musical range with puppetry—inspired by her work in the children's musical ANOUK (2024/2025).
Uwe Matschke studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, plays in various formations, and has been active in musical improv theater for many years.
