Aggregate Festival: New Works for Organ with Mads Kjeldgaard, gamut inc feat. Sebastian Heindl and Claire M Singer
The concert evening of the AGGREGATE Festival, which opens the Month of Contemporary Music 2025, focuses on current developments in the New Organ Movement. New and existing works for organ by gamut inc (Marion Wörle and Maciej Śledziecki), Danish sound artist Mads Kjeldgaard and Scottish composer, organist and performer Claire M Singer from the AGGREGATE Festival will be presented.
- Mads Kjeldgaard presents ‘Hyphal,’ his first composition for automated organ, whichimitates the growth processes of fungi using various algorithms.
- gamut inc and exceptional organist Sebastian Heindl present a new work in which the interactive interlocking of the organist and gamut inc's computer control system expand the possibilities of the organ through hypervirtuosity and a love of sound.
- Claire M Singer, known for her experimental approach to the organ, draws inspiration from the dramatic landscape of Scotland and explores rich harmonic textures and complex overtones that create ever-changing melodic and rhythmic patterns that disappear almost as quickly as they emerge.
