Guided tours of the history and architecture of the Queen Louise Church with expert explanations

Expert tours of the church's history and architecture are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Queen Louise Church was built in 1912-13 in the Brandenburg Brick Gothic style by Robert Leibnitz (1863-1929), the architect of several churches in and around Berlin. Empress Augusta Victoria assumed the patronage.

At the emperor's request, the facade was modeled after the medieval Tangermünde Town Hall. The church was renovated from 2016 to 2018 with funding from the State Monuments Office, the Friends' Association, and the KiBa Foundation, among others. The organ (by Tom Tolle, Preetz/H. 1966) was renovated in 2020.

  • Expected at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. - Meeting point: Square in front of the church

Small photo exhibition in the church vestibule (right) on the topic "Discovering what connects us - Church buildings by Robert Leibnitz and Hinrich Brunsberg".

It is also possible to visit the interior of the church without a guided tour.
