By Jarmila Lee-Lou Kuznik
Objects in the Sky uses circus technology, sound collages and autofictional confrontation to hit the heart of the question: Who is actually allowed to be who they are? Migrant, queer, low-class, academic, anarchist - identities are never just one, but always plural. Between rickety borders and fat privileges, the play picks apart the paradox of belonging.
Driven by queer, feminist and post-migrant critiques of assimilation and the exploitation of self and others in the cultural sector, Objects in the Sky takes up current discourses and transforms them into a circus collage using powerful imagery.
