The new season kicks off with a musical journey into the world of children’s games: Georges Bizet’s “Jeux d’enfants.” Originally written for piano, Bizet later transformed some of the pieces into the colorful “Petite Suite”—full of charm, humor, and playful lightness.

Joseph Bologne is also on the program: The Guadeloupe-born musician was one of the most significant violin virtuosos, conductors, and composers of his time. His Violin Concerto combines elegance with impressive virtuosity.

Another highlight takes us to New York City in 1893: Antonín Dvořák’s “Symphony from the New World” premieres at Carnegie Hall.
