The concert project "Trauerrefrain" (Refrain of Mourning) spans a range from the medieval chants of Hildegard von Bingen to the present day.

Ah Young Hong (soprano), Antje Thierbach (oboes), and Yumi Onda (violin) explore the musical dimensions of grief and its potential for transformation through sensory, emotional, and intellectual experience.

Set to music, texts by Hildegard von Bingen, Rainer Maria Rilke, Rupy Kaur, and Anja Utler run through the musical program in a breathtakingly close context. The eponymous world premiere of "Trauerrefrain" by American composer Michael Hersch, based on poems by Anja Utler and inspired by the haiku tradition, is performed alongside works by Hildegard von Bingen, Rainer Maria Rilke, Rupy Kaur, and Anja Utler.

The eponymous world premiere "Trauerrefrain" (Mourning Refrain) by American composer Michael Hersch, based on poems by Anja Utler and inspired by the tradition of haiku, will be performed alongside works by French Baroque composer J. Concert as part of the event series "NachtKlänge – Hören mit dem Herzen" ( Night Sounds – Listening with the Heart). NachtKlänge is a concert series focusing on transcultural acoustic music in an atmospheric setting, mainly taking place during the cold season. Thanks to underfloor heating and mats, the music can also be enjoyed while lying down. www.arisetaulis.de/ https://www.facebook.com/NachtKlänge https://www.instagram.com/NachtKlänge
