Book premiere and reading with Matthias Behne and Holger Brülls
In their graphic-lyrical collaborative work “NACHT NAHT”, Matthias Behne and Holger Brülls make a pilgrimage with pathos and humor along those seams and seams that fatefully interweave social dystopia and individual experiences of loss.
Their path leads them through spooky mountain landscapes and everyday tristessen, past mercantile, sexual and religious promises of happiness, finally to the carnival and the realization:
“one should not praise the night / before the morning / the night has bright edges / which one only sees in the dark / best / eyes sewn shut / and through”.
