Spring Matinee Women's Choir Berlin-Mahlsdorf
The Mahlsdorf Women's Choir and its conductor Johanna Blumenthal would like to celebrate spring together with the audience with a spring matinee.

They have put together a varied programme ranging from classical music by well-known composers to traditional choral pieces, which the audience is also welcome to sing along to.
The concert will be held at the choir's rehearsal venue, the Kulturforum Hellersdorf.
The Berlin-Mahlsdorf women's choir was founded in 1974. Since 1991, the choir's fortunes have been in the hands of Johanna Blumenthal, a qualified and much honoured conductor. As artistic director, she has shaped the choir in her own special way.
The women's choir was constituted as an association in 1994. After what was probably the most difficult time for the Ensemble - the coronavirus pandemic - the women's choir resumed its tradition of seasonal concerts in the region two years ago. In 2024, the singers celebrated the 50th anniversary of their ensemble with a big anniversary concert. At the same time, performances in residential care centres in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district are always a matter close to the women's choir's heart. Around 60 members and supporters from three generations are united by the joy of singing together.
